About

Hello all! I figured I should post letting you know a little about me. I have been blogging on Open Diary for over two years now and recently decided to move my buisness blog from blogger to here. I am the proud “parent” of Flutterbygifts.com. She’s my baby and I’m very proud of the work that I do. It brings me great joy to make wonderful clothing, soaps, jewlery and the Snugglebug baby carrier.

Currently I am in school to become a massage therapist though I am almost finished! (Next month in fact) everything I do is from a healing stand point. While I am not a doctor and don’t claim to be one I believe that we can do so much more than just visiting the doctor to keep ourselves healthy. Massage is one of those things. I plan on continuing education in the feldenkris method and watzu.

Before I started my path towards my own buisness, and massage school I worked with special needs children and they will always hold a very very special place in my heart. I loved working with them and they inspired me to learn more about massage, feldenkris and gentle soothing alternative methods to health.

Most of my posts are about my creative process, whats going on in my head and whats coming up next on the site. My creative process moves from one craft to the next, I will work hard say..on my sewing, bring out new things, develop my skills for a few months and then move on to the jewelry, work at that for a while and then move to the bath and body. So if you don’t see anything new in the catagory that you enjoy, don’t worry it always comes back around!

Right now I’m very focused on my sewing. I just finished a quilt for my bed which is king sized and all appliqued animals. You’d have to see to believe it but it was the biggest project I’ve ever taken on. I’ve got some custom orders for three more quilts in this style. I will have pictures and be offering custom quilts on the site as soon as I have the pictures of the different styles. Trust me on this, these quilts will be worth the wait and a wonderful addition to any childs room. Who doesn’t like a zoo on their bed!

I hope you stick with me and enjoy my journey as much as I do! Until next time…Sara
