New skirts
I know I had promised quite a few days ago that I would show you the finished “grow” skirt. Time got away from me but its finished now and I have a few minits to finally get it posted here and to the site. I couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out. I was aprehensive to try something new but I really think its paid off and this skirt is super cute.
The skirt is made from a %100 cotton twill which is a nice heavy weight but still airy enough for all seasons. The patchwork wraps all the way around the entire skirt and all seams are serged for strength and durablity. I’m so proud of this that I really wish I was keeping it!

I was inspired by the four elements and plan on making three other skirts of this type. This skirt was inspired by “earth”. I used greens and browns and thought about a little sprout growing up out of the ground. The earth skirt will be available on the website in the clothing section. Keep checking back for the rest of the skirts, “water” will be up next.
The other skirt that is getting added to the site is a batik peasent skirt. I was so happy when I found this batik material at the fabric store, I snatched it up right away! I think the colors are so pretty together!
It comes down to about the mid-calf (aprox. 32in long) made from %100 cotton dyed in blues, purples, dark pink and green. The hem is nice and wide for dancing and prancing! I was really worried about how it was going to come together, and if the fabric would look good in the style but I really think is does.
