Week in review 7/16-7/22

Sunday is the day where I update the website and add new items to the store. This week has been particularly busy! I’ve been working on two twin sized quilts and as soon as I’m done I’ll be able to add the quilts to the website. I’m very excited about that and can’t move fast enough to get them done.

I’ve also been working on the “grow” skirt which will be uploaded to the site later on tonight as it’s still not QUITE done. I am such a perfectionist, it has to be just right before I am willing to put anything onto the site.

There are three other new skirts that I’ve added to the website just today. One of them is what I call the “tulip 2.0” I was getting lots of compliments on the tulip skirt, and lots of folks liked it but not the color. I kept hearing “it’s a bit little girl-ish” so I changed the color and altered the style of the tulip and I couldn’t be happier with it. The other is a skirt I did for Gay PRIDE, though I think its cute and fun on any day of the week. I replaced the spider skirt with this new rainbow skirt. Its all black except the rainbow appliqué and rainbow waistband. The last of the new skirts is a petticoat. I found that I was making things way to difficult and didn’t need to “reinvent” the petticoat! So I simplified my design; and after an entire year of wanting to get this style made it’s finally on the site! I’m working on a full length to go under the ankle length skirts, and also a batik style that can be worn alone.

Coming up on this weeks docet is two new scents of soap that I’m offering in the “Dog days of Summer give away” “Summer waves” fragrance soap and “Cucumber melon” soap. These fragrances are also being offered in the solid lotion. I can’t wait until tomorrow to start the give away. I’m very excited to be participating. Also I’ll be working on the quilts more and will have some progress pictures coming up. I’m working on a full length petticoat to go under the ankle length skirts, and also a batik style that can be worn alone. I can’t wait! I’m going to go and get to work right now.
